The area boasts numerous trails, camping, hiking, biking, climbing, parks, restaurants, and is home to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, Garden of the Gods, and the Manitou Incline.

U.S. Air Force Academy
About U.S. Air Force Academy
The U.S. Air Force Academy is located in northern Colorado Springs. Each year, there are over 4,000 cadets at the Academy. The Academy develops Air Force and Space Force commissioned officers. There are over 2,000 military service members and 1,600 civilian personnel that work at the installation. The Air Force Falcons play football in the Mountain West Conference.
